LENNY FOSTER

Lenny Foster’s photography career began in 1993, after a trip to the Southwest. During that vacation, in photographing the wide expanse of sky, unique architecture and varied landscape, Lenny created images that inspired him to hang up his coat and tie after 15 years in the automobile business. He then moved from the Washington, D.C. area to Taos. Over the course of the last 20 years Lenny has witnessed firsthand, how Beauty and Spirit are reflected in the landscape, architecture, and in the hands and faces of the inhabitants of New Mexico. Over the last eighteen years, he has had the good fortune to own the Living Light Photography Gallery. Lenny has been priviledged to see his work placed in many private collections. In addition, his work is on view in prominent institutions in New Mexico, such as the Harwood Museum in Taos, the Albuqurque Museum and the Hubbard Museum of the American West. His work is also part of the permanent collections of the Muhammed Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky, The Ross Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University and Oklahoma University’s College of Allied health.

In 2013 Lenny published his first fine art book, “Healing Hands,” and in the early summer of 2016 will publish, “Enchanted Land: a Taos Twenty Year Retrospective.

When asked about his Healing Hands series, Lenny says,“I am excited about the possibilities and the promise of my work, hoping that it will continue to have a profound emotional and spiritual impact on myself and on the individuals who experience the images. “This body of work, to some degree reflects my quest, my intent and desire with my camera as the vehicle, to be in constant communion with the divine .
